Falken FK452 Review

It's apparent that the consensus is Hankooks when it comes to tires for '20's. I am not opposed to getting Hankooks because the reviews are all good on them. But seeing how I have gone over my budget for mods for my G, I need to select tires that are even cheaper than Hankooks. I definitely don't want something too cheap because I believe in you get what you pay for. I really like the design and look of the Falkens. They are priced cheaper than Hankooks. I've been advised that they aren't best when it comes to quiteness and comfort. I've really only heard that from a couple of people. Can I get some more feedback on the? Just overall stuff. Is it worth the money you pay for them or are they really that bad? Yokohama's S. drives and NITTO NT 555 are also on my list but I rather spend less...if I can without getting too carried away with pricing.

I had a set of falken 452s on my last set of wheels. I had them stretched so i really dont care much about noise or performance grip. The drove fine for me, one was even mounted backwards and i had no problems

Worst pair of tires I have owned! Keep in mind my previous were Toyo T1-R, Michellin Pilots, and bridgestone Potenzas.

My friend and I both got pretty nasty bubbles on our Falkens and another club members blew out on the highway. Not sure if he hit something or not.

The up side is they run small so have a nice stretch and are inexpensive.

This is why I am really skeptical. With my luck, i'd get the set that gets the bubbles and blow out...all at the same time.

I wouldn't recommend them at all.

Don't be cheap when it comes to replace brakes and tires........ remember, those two components stop your car and keeps you safe on the road.
S.drives are your best option between the nitto and the falkens, But I recommend continental dws's...... 50k miles warranty, good reviews and they are two or three bucks more than the S.drive.
Check out tirerack.com, read and compare some of the tires and see which ones you like better.

Really? I'd ride the Hankooks over them any day of the week.

I don't know... To each his own, I suppose. To be honest, I haven't had a set of Falkens in more than a few years, but I tried the V12's when I bought my SL's. I was reluctant, but a few people had told me they were good tires for the money. Needless to say, I have not been impressed. I am still up in the air as to what I am going to do in terms of tires when my new wheels arrive.

I will never buy Falkens again. Toyo is the best tire I have had. I do like Hankook as well.

There you go, man. No messing around.

I was looking at the Yokohama Advan Sport. I have had the S.drives in the past. I would choose another set of those over the Hankooks, but I've never tried the Advan Sport. I believe I may be interested. Any thoughts/experience?

I too would take the S Drives over the Hankooks as well. I've had both on the G back to back.

The Pilot Super Sports are allegedly the best street tire ever produced in the history of rubber tires. I'll find out soon. The best price I found on 275/30/20 was $310 each. Not cheap, but I've learned tires are not the place to skimp.
