235 tires on OEM 18 G37X wheels?
I'm gonna be looking for new tires soon and want to know if I would have issues running 235 tires on the stock 18 G37x coupe wheels. Current tire size is 225/50/18. Would also consider other sizes, but don't want the tire to look to dumb being low profile on stock wheel. Taking ideas.

I have a 6mt sedan with the staggered setup (225-50-18 front, 245-45-18 rear) and am currently running 235-45-18 Blizzaks all around without any issue. From past experience (03 G35 sedan with 18's), the 235-45-18 tire size does not have a great selection. You may be better off stepping up to 245-45-18 which maintains the same rolling diameter as your stock size. Many more options in that size.

No, it will actually have slightly more sidewall height than 225-50 but will still maintain the same overall diameter. There are a number of tire size calculators/converters on the 'net. Try this one - Tire size calculator.

You're right, should've taken my own advice and checked the calculator . Mulit-tasking at work isn't going so well today.....
The 225-50 sidewall will be 4.4" and the 245-45 will be 4.3" so not enough to notice a difference. Obviously, the 245 will be wider.

Neal, would I have a problem setting up a 245-45 on the stock 18x8 wheels? Not sure if it would have too much of a stretched look or the tires would be too low profile...
