Would this look weird

Some guy is trying to sell me his set of rims that came off of his G35, the rims are MMR 20 inches, 8.5 offset all around I believe, now would it looks weird if I run this set up with a drop? Any opinion?

The offset is wrong. Those specs are the wheel width

Damn I dont know what the offset is then, have to double check with him. The wheel is the MMR GT1, could some one tell me if it will clear my sport brake?

Even though you know the wheel style, the offsets are also a determining factor. Gather the information and repost.

I just asked the guy, he doesn't even know the offset, but he did say that they clear his big brake kit on his g35, I mean for 500 with tires, they have a lot of thread left, and the wheels are in good condition, what do you all think?

tell him to let u test one to see if itll fit... u can also calculate the offset of his rims btw... google it or youtube it and youll see that u can use a simple formula to come up with the actual offset...

here....

1. Determine the wheel backspace measurement. This is done by laying the wheel face down so the back is facing up towards you. Lay your ruler across the inboard flange. Take the measuring tape and measure the distance from the rule to the hub mounting pad in inches. Your result is the wheel backspace.

2. Measure the width of the rim. Do this by measuring from the outboard flange to the inboard flange. Write your answer down in inches.

3. Calculate the center line of the wheel. This is accomplished by taking the width of rim and dividing the number by two. For example if your total rim width was six inches, the center line will be three inches.

4. Subtract the center line from the backspace to find the offset. If the center line was three inches and the backspace was two inches the offset would be negative one inch.

5. Use your answer to determine of the offset is positive or negative. If you your center line is greater than your backspace you will have a negative offset. If the center line is less than your backspace you will have a positive offset.

Good Luck...
