Help with Winter Set Up -- 19" G37 IPL
I have 19" winters from my 2008 G37S which are the same staggered size as my new G37 IPL. To save my stock rims from the hazards of winter, instead of swapping the tires (as I used to do), I'm thinking of getting some cheap after market 19's to mount the winters on.
I found these replica Lexus LFA rims/wheels on Ebay:
19" WHEELS FIT INFINITI G35 G37 G37S M35 M45 Q45 RIMS | eBay
The IPL OEM specs are:
Front 19 x 8.5 with 43 offset
Rear 19 x 9.0 with 45 offset
The Ebay rims say that they are:
Front 19 x 8.5 with 35 offset
Rear 19 x 9.5 with 38 offset
Hub Bore: 73.1 (**update** seller threw in centric hub rings to adjust to Infiniti spec of 66.1)
Are the offsets ok on this set up to clear the brakes? My tires are:
225/45R19 (front) (**update** these will fit an 8.5" rim no problem)
245/40R19 (rear) (**update** I checked at Bridgestone.com and the max width wheel these can be mounted on is a 9.5" so it looks like these should fit)
Also, any thoughts on these rims? Keep in mind these are for a winter set up so I'm not really interested in paying a lot when they're going to get messed up with salt and snow.
Any input is appreciated.

While those are nice, save some $$ on both the wheels and tires by going with 18" 225/50/18 all around. Your staggered snow tires will be useless in the actual snow and may actually cause poor handling.

I'm in Canada. Part of the problem is that I'm trying to reuse my winter tire set up from my old G37. So, switching to an 18" set up would mean buying new wheels and tires versus just getting 19" wheels to mount the winters I already have.

Yeah and you also have the issue of shipping.
My biggest questions about those wheels would be clearance for your calipers and fitment without rubbing, etc.
If the ebay seller guarantees that and will accept them back if they do not fit, then thats one thing. Of course that has to include after you have mounted them.

Hey, what part of NY are you in? I am located near Binghamton, NY and might be looking to get a winter setup for my 2010 G37xS Sedan.

Good news, got the rims and they fit totally fine! Cleared the brakes without an issue... and the tires also fit on the 9.5 rear width.
Anyone looking for cheap 19" rims for a winter set up, these are a great option.
**UPDATE**
Technical problem with the url linked photo -- photos are posted below

Sorry, I posted a "URL" linked photo above, which may just be viewable by me on this thread.
I'm now attaching some pics that should be viewable by all. The pics of the front rims show that the brakes are close.... but they fit! Plenty of room to clear brakes in the rear.
Enjoy.
