I have these on a 2011 WRX and they are fantastic.....

Depending on the wheel size the OP has, they might not be available in the right size

I see that's a Discount Tire exclusive, it's not on Tire Rack.

Wish they had it in 245/50-17 - only have the 225/55-17 - which s fine, I was just looking for something a bit wider than stock.

Okay scratch that - NTB and some others carry it, too. The Discount Tire website says "exclusive" - and I believed 'em...

YK580 Performance Tires | Yokohama Tire Corp.

So the do handle well? Not soft sidewalls like the DWS?

They handle like a dream! I was planning to get another set of the DWS since I had a set already and the guy at discount tires tells me to try the new YK580. I was reluctant at first but he told me to test drive his car, which was the new 2011 Mustang 5.0, since he just got the YK580 put on. I took it for a spin with him and I was blown away at how well the tire performs. The sidewalls are stiff unlike the DWS, it corners and stops on a dime. If you ever drove the Eagle GTs you would know how well it handles even though the tire doesn't last long at all, the YK580 handles 3 times better. I've had these on for about a month and its been raining a lot in Houston. The tires does exactly what it says and more. I would highly recommend you trying these out. The only other tires I would recommend is are the PS2 but the tread rating isnt exactly the best.

Thanks for the info, qpham45 - I'll give them a try! I'm about due for tires... waiting for that first Dallas snow/ice forecast and I'll be ordering them from Discount Tire.

I like that Yoko advertises low rolling resistance on these too, helping mileage. I have the stock/boring 17's, wanted 245/50-17's but they only offer these tires in the stock 225/55-17 size.

Those are not all seasons. Had them on my Audi and they are just ok.

I think that they aren't that bad. I wouldn't say they are the most quietest tires but they aren't loud either. the only tire i can compare them to in noise level are the Eagle GT. To me they are pretty comfortable for being a 40 series tire.
