Another "winter wheel" thread...
...from a first time poster.
Hey all, just purchased a 2010 G37XS early lease turn in w/ only 12k miles on it, in Smoky Quartz and I LOVE this car.
I do live in norther New England so I want to get some wheels to put some Blizzaks on as this is my daily driver.
So I was looking around TireRack and found these, and after seeing this size in the owners manual, I wanted to double check with the "experts" to make sure I wasn't buying the wrong size.

They should be fine.
The only time there is usually a problem with fitting wheels is when you have the Infiniti/Akebono BBK (big brake kit) and it can be tricky finding an inexpensive winter alloy that will clear them. Trust me I know. I just bought a winter set of 18's (locally thank goodness) and had to return them.
You have the standard brakes so should be alright. The wheels you chose have the same specs as the OEM wheels and the spokes are pretty close to flush with the face like OEMs too.

I'm going through the same process right now and I'm planning to get a similar set of wheels with the WS70's. Initially I thought it'd be better to put snow tires on the original wheels... then I learned more about the TPMS things. They really mess up the cost/benefit calculations.
If you buy snow tires and have them mounted/dismounted every year (twice) on your original wheels, it will cost you a lot more than you'd believe. Not only do they charge you to mount and dismount, they'll also charge you to reset your TPMS each time they're in there. For me, this put actually tilted the 3-year cost in favor of just getting a pair of separate winter wheels/tires. Then when I considered the fact that the original wheels would be better off not having to deal with the traditional New England winter potholes, salt and grime, the decision got even easier.
Then, I called my local Infiniti dealer and they told me that 80-90 percent of their customers who run snow tires and wheels do so WITHOUT installing TPMS in the winter wheels. They just let the warning indicator complain for the winter and move on. That kind of made the decision for me.
These next few weeks will see a new set of wheels/snow tires on my doorstep.
best of luck, Tom in NH

That's exactly what I'm doing Tom, no TPMS for winter tires. I can live with a warning light for the 4 months or so they will be on.
Also looks like I'm going to get the Michelin X-Ice Xi2.
