Stock Wheels, NO DROP - Wheel spacers

Searched and searched and cannot come across any pictures or info on stock wheels WITHOUT a drop. I purchased a nearly brand new set of winter wheels and tires that the fronts need 5mm spacers to clear the calipers (sport). If I'm going to have to buy spacers I figured I would get some that will also benefit the looks of the stock wheels. Just not sure what size to go.

Please post pictures or links if you know of any.

What size wheels did you get that require spacers?

They are the sport editions from Tire rack with Blizzacks, 18x8. But the offset is +41 I believe. (Bought them used off craigslist)

Interesting. I got a set from discount tire, the MB alpina, also 18x8 with a 40mm offset. According to them, it should fit the car. Unfortunately, I don't have the car yet to try them out. Are yours not clearing where the spokes touch the outside face of the caliper?

The sales guy did say there were some other 18" wheels they had, but they would not clear because of the arrangement of the spokes relative the hub.

MB Wheels: Alpina

EDIT: Searching your other posts, it seems you got the sport edition A7, which according to tire rack should fit the car, but also has an offset of +35mm

Edit2: This post https://www.myg37.com/forums/3251224-post1.html says the a7's should clear the sport brakes too. <confused>

Will 20mm spacers on stock wheels, no drop cause uneven tire wear?
I have a set of H&R 20mm spacers my brother gave to me.

I dont think they will. I had 15mm on my older G sedan with no drop and stock wheels and worked just fine.

^^That's definitely with a drop. Gap is huge without one.

And spacers will not cause uneven tire wear.

OP, I remember seeing pics of a MW with 20 mm spacers, no drop somewhere on this site, but haven't been able to find it anywhere. It's either here or over on driver.

Yes they are the A7s. The +41 offset is so close it is ridiculous. I have not actually mounted them with lugs, but have put the wheels flush on the studs and moved them by hand. When the spoke is in front of the sport caliper, you probably couldn't fit a piece of paper between the wheel and caliper, but spins without rubbing. There is no way I am going to run them with that minimum of a clearance. So, hence the spacers.

No one can come up with any pics?

...I also measured my wheels to lip edge with a straight edge and tape. I was surprised that the fronts have an inch and the rears only about 1/2 inch. Why am I seeing a lot of people recommending staggered spacer set-ups (15/20 20/25) with more going to the rear when the rear is already further out then front?
