I actually wouldn't suggest going with the 255/35 and 285/30 on 19's because your overall diameter will be much smaller. Your speed calibration will be off and you will have a better chance of damaging the wheels.

Like emyrl posted, triming your fender liner should do the trick

h
so are you saying i should stick with my 275/35/20 rear and 245/40/20 front? Lol as far as the people in back they fit just fine 5'10 210 lbs both cousins and they say they are comfortable. lol works fine with me.

Ahhh i see but you think these sizes would be less effective in not bending and cracking my wheels. i currnetly run 275/35/20 and 245/40/20 i feel safe but the tires are hard to come by. What would a combo like this cost me? do you guys carry federal evo595? i know they are suppose to be cheap tires and i pay for what i get but ive been hearing lots of good reviews on them.

NEAL is correct on this also. But you will have to trim your rear bumper bracket if you go 285's on the rear with your offset

is it easy to do this? is there a DIY here?

35 will be too meaty, get 285-30 instead and that offset is perfect but you will rub a little. you can easily fix that by trimming the fender liner and shave the bumper bracket

Where would i rub at though? like would it be the actual fender where my tires would get damaged or just that plastic liner. because i rub when i carry 2 big people in back but it the plastic liner i rub on so no damage to my tires

Not sure if you already did this transaction or not, but I have the Federal EVO595s on my car w/ vossen cv3s and honestly I think they suck...worst tires EVER ...i can't even take a turn if it is slightly wet outside over 25mph or i'll loose traction ... AND i can't find the weight specs on them anywhere, but they have to be heavy as hell cuz they are weighing my car down noticeably...the cv3s are only a half a pound heavier than stock and the total diameter of the wheel is within 7mms of stock diameter so the only thing i can blame my 'slowness' on as of right now is these damn tires....can't wait to get Contis!!

..btw i run the 285-30-20 and 255-35-20 tires w/ 20" rims + eibachs and i haven't had any rubbing at all in my coupe.
