How long do the stock tires last ?

The OEM (Potenza's) on my 2010 Sport Sedan were making a terrible road noise at 17,000 miles. Actually, they were fine until the tire rotation, but the noise was so annoying after the rotation that I couldn't even hear the stereo without cranking it up. I complained about this and I must say Infiniti of Charlotte was a tremendous help in satisfying me. They offered to replace 2 tires (of my choice) free if I purchased the other 2. I ended up putting on the Michelin Primacy MXV4. Stupendously expensive tires ($298.00 each) but they have a 60,000 warranty and they are super quiet tires.

23,000 on my 2009 17" Goodyear Eagle RS-A's and I might get another few months out of them but should get that done in December as we often get ice in Jan-Feb in the Dallas area.
EDIT: I drive moderately most of the time but do light them up on occasion. Rotations every 6-7k.

Surprised that some have stuck it out on those RSAs, you won't believe how much better this car is w/ the proper tires. My 07 had Potenzas and my 09 had the RSAs and I couldn't believe how underwhelming the drive was on the RSAs, my Dunlop Sport Signatures on 20s brought it all back to where my 07 was thank god

I guess I'm too cheap to go buy new tires when I have "tires" on the car. The stock RSA's are not great but I love driving the car as is, so they can't be that bad... I guess I'll get a new enjoyment when I finally replace them.
The road types we drive on makes a difference too. I don't drive hard often, and the Dallas streets are not bad. Still, folks like JohnEnglish gets over 30K on his.

My '08 Coupe with the stock Bridgestone Potenzas is at 24k. One rear needs replacing (two outer tread are low), the other rear is fair, and the fronts are better. I'll soon replace all four, probably with Hankooks.

So what tire would you guys recommend for the stock 17's on the sedan? I haven't had the car that long but i can already tell these eagles are bad and you guys just reaffirm it. Of course I am going to run 19's when the weather is nice

..but I'm in the same boat with stock 17's on an 09 sedan. I will need to buy in 3-6 months.
Assuming you want an all-season tire as I do - if money was no object, I would go with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus with a 500 AA rating. You can get the stock 225/55 size, or go a little wider with the 245/50 size. They are expensive at about $195 and $248 each, respectively, on TireRack.
The Continental ExtremeContact DWS is a great tire with a 560 AA rating, but only available in the wider 245/50 size at about $168. Although better than the stock tires and a long tread life, some say they have softer sidewalls and are not as performance-minded as the Michelins. Some don't like the odd looking tread design. They are great tires, though.
I've got my eye on the General G-MAX AS-03 for $122 and $130 in those two sizes. They are 480 AA tires, maybe a little less tread life, but a lot less expensive than the other two. Most everyone who has them, loves them. Great performance at a great price.
In a "dollar per mile" comparison I did using the warranty miles rating and TireRack base cost, the G-MAX is lowest at $.0033 per mile, next is the DWS at $.0034 per mile, and the A/S Plus is $.0035 per mile. So they are all about the same cost-wise per warranty mile.
With roads getting worse across the USA I can't justify expensive tires. I think the G-MAX will work great, and the early reviews on TireRack are great. I don't track my car, but do love to drive with spirit. The DWS may be better for me but the tread design isn't too appealing.

Yeah consider yourself "lucky" because you need to replace the stock RSAs. They are not good and expensive. There are better tires for less for the 17"s. If you have the money, go with Michelin Sport AS+. They are expensive but worth the price.
