Smile New 20" Wheels

Just received and mounted my new Enkei Lusso's from the Tire Rack on my G37x. 20x8.5 all around with Hankook V12s 245-35-20. I was concerned they might look too big but they look perfect, not too big and not small like some 19" setups appear to be.

I know it would look better with a drop but I'm debating since I'm here in MN and need ground clearance in the winters.

I'll be putting the adjustable coilovers on for that reason- when I switch back to stock for winter

Nice rides. So you actually drive your car that low in the winter here? Last winter was a bad one and got through it fine with the AWD but can't imagine trying it with a car that low.

Sorry I missed the part about winter driving. Neither one of us use our coupe during the winter months. I have an A4 dropped on Eibachs and 19s, it does just fine in winter.

Nice wheels, looks good w/ your OB color. Gotta get that fence reflection out of your camera view though

Thanks for the compliments. I'm very tempted to go with a mild drop with 370z springs up front and shaving the spring mounts in the rear as others have done. Eibachs for the "X" seem to still look too low in the rear in pics to me.

I will give it some time to see if the gap drives me crazy. I do have to say the ride is fine with the 20s.

It'll only drive you crazy if you seriously care about what others think of your car. Don't do it just because people tell you that you have to drop it otherwise it looks ridiculous. It's your car, do what you want to it, lower it or not.

I'll admit it, lowered looks better, but it definitely doesn't look ridiculous without a drop. If anything, it just look stock.

I love the performance and handling benefits of the lowered setup personally. Much more responsive handling, less lean forward or backward, squatting when accelerating or braking was a big thing for me. Plus I went up in size on tires, 30/40 extra mm over stock make a huge difference too! I'm planning to drop mine also, but am most likely not gonna drive it in the winter. I would say with the 1.0 n .8 drop of the X you should be fine here in MN winters, BTW! Why aren't you in the MN forums? Do you live in the twin cities? We are a VERY active community and have lots of events planned for this summer, you should join up! https://www.myg37.com/forums/midwest...hread-180.html

These are exactly what I’m looking into getting in the same state! How have they been? Holding up well?
