Need help on some black rims for a 2011 G37...
Just got a black on black G37 sedan. Next step, new black rims. What do you guys think? Any suggestions will help. I was actually thinking about going a little wider in the back. What do you guys think about that?
Thanks,
Justin

Why dont you put a pic up of your ride too and let us know what else you are thinking about doing. Do you and are you keeping stock suspension and leaving all the chrome on the car otherwise? Rims are a big part of what your final product is but if you want it to come together clean you need to pick an overall direction first.

this is a pretty big change for me since selling my f-150 with a 6" lift on 35's. hahaha. but i have to admit this car is pretty amazing. i'm glad to have it.

in all honesty, with that budget ur only choice is getting used. check VR Wheels WebStore, Presented By VR Motoring for used wheels. only companies that i can see you getting new ones are the Rotiform Cast series, Forgestar F10(cost almost 2k without tires), used OEM's, or something from that site.

probably looking to spend $1-$2k on rims & wheels. i was looking around and i really liked how the stock 19" that come with the coupe look when their powered coated to matte black or gun metal. not to mention i think that's pretty affordable. also, def want to lower it a little bit. by the way what does it cost to lower the car a few inches?
If you like that look you could always have the stock 19's powdercoated black or gunmetal. Then use the rest of the money on a set of coilovers and spacers.

You should just save the money and get something better. I wouldn't put used wheels on a brand new car unless the wheels were 100% mint without a single scratch and like new tread on the tires, or unless it was something lime some expensive volk or work wheels for example. If you can find some coupe 19's like that, go for it. Otherwise, save up!

i would not suggest having a completely black car because at night, your car is going to look like a gigantic, formless blob. you really need some contrast to make your car pop such as polished silver wheels
as for your wheel budget, i'd save 1-2k more to buy some used legitimate wheels with tires that can be found all over the place in the private classifieds here

Just keep what you have and ride the brakes hard. Once you build up as much brake dust as 90% of the Benz's and Volvo's ride around with on their unwashed wheels, you too will have a set of black rims - at no cost to you. (Except maybe new brake pads every 10k miles or so.)
