DPE Wheels...... Problem so far with them
#16
I am having a similar issue with some Vossen wheels I ordered.
Ordered CV1's in Matte Black, 20 x 9 +32 all around, on April 19th from a local vendor. I was told it would be UP TO 60 days before they got my wheels (after they checked with Vossen). Well... 60 days was Saturday. No calls. No updates.
So I call them... they call Vossen and call me back. Supposedly Vossen says they won't expect that shipment until JULY 16th. What. The. Fark.
Customer service with this vendor is absolutely horrid.

4-6weeks is b.s . That is what us consumers wants to hear. Well at least that is what i was told LOL, i ordered DPE too, and i was told to wait 8-10weeks for production. I can't even remember when i ordered them now. All i know is that its at a 'finishing' state. well.. just gotta be patient i guess. Good luck with your wheels.

Yeah the CV1 in Matte Black Machined has had a 60+ day waiting list for a while now. Really sorry about this guys. In mid July we are receiving a HUGE shipment that will fulfill everyone on the waiting list and leave us about 30 sets for our stock. (but we expect the 30 sets that will be left over to sell in about a week.... then we will start a new waiting list)
What I said was valid, how I said it sucked.
The bottom line is, I am SO looking forward to having these wheels on my car, the fact that I don't have them yet is very disappointing to me. They'll eventually arrive and I'll be happy as a kid in a candy store.

Oh the joys of custom orders!
My suggestion on custom order anything is to constantly stay in touch. Call/email #1: "Has the order been received?" #2: "Where in the cue is my order?" #3: "I'm not trying to be a pain. I'm just checking to make sure my order is being efficiently processed." #4: "Can you give me an update on the completion date?" #5: "Can you give me an update on the delivery date?" Etc.
Unfortunately so often people put in a custom order and just expect it to happen. Keep in mind that custom orders are a glitch in the manufacturers overall production. They need to crank out hundreds of wheels a day (if not more) and if they are not set up well to have a separate customization team, your special part has to be inserted into a very efficient product line at different intervals and typically screws up their whole process. Just saying that this if often why these orders take so long.
As stated before... Be patient grasshopper and check in regularly to follow the progress. Remember, you ordered these DPE's because this is what you really wanted. Don't settle for the next best option just because it's quicker!

I feel your pain, man. I've already priced coilovers and I can't do a thing until I get my wheels.
Whatever... they'll eventually arrive. Just sucks waiting, especially when you were told something different.
These things happen, though, and I am sure everyone involved wants to make their money and keep their customers happy. Crap happens and it always stinks.

Im ok with waiting longer for products. Hoping that the extra time means they are going to be better than perfect and wont cause me headaches later. But I cant stand lack of communication. The "Sorry we've been so busy , and we're flooded with emails and calls from other customers" excuse is bull. They just don't care enough to put effort into the transaction because you've already paid upfront.
