Sorry, but it's going to happen. Car forums are for "enthusiasts" who come for advice or to share something that works. People say it all the time because without it you are losing out on a great look. Especially when people can afford to buy wheels, but don't want to fork over the extra couple hundred for a drop.

Are you ordering your tires online or what OP?

That would be awesome because then you would have some extra cash to drop your car.

LOL it doesn't annoy me when ppl tell me to get a drop. i know it needs a drop...

yep ordering the tires online.

going back to my original tire setup - if i got an eibach drop would those tires still rub?

275/35ZR -20 Hankook Ventus
245/40ZR -20 Hankook Ventus

at this point if i can use those tires i might as well get the springs .. what do you guys think?

They won't fit! I promise you and especially when you drop it. 245/40 and a 275/35 are thick tires people usually do that on 19s. Even on 19s people run 35 series.

Tire rack or discount tires direct. Get a quote from one and then take it to the other for them to beat it.

The thing about a drop is that it alters the ride/comfort. No matter how much the manufacturer claims that their springs retain the stock ride, it will never ride like stock. The G37S has a pretty harsh suspension from the factory already, adding lowering springs will only worsen the already harsh ride. Add the fact that the roads (at least in Hawaii) suck *** with a million potholes and bumps and the idea of lowering gets less and less appealing. Sure it looks great but I do spend more time driving the thing than looking at it.

Also, unless you have a place and the know how to do such a job, it can cost a bit more than just a couple hundred bucks. I still want a drop though, I just can't for now.
