Recommend me a good summer tire

Looking for something with the following:

Size: 245/40/19

1. Good tread life
2. Aggressive/Attractive tread pattern
3. Low road noise
4. Medium priced - nothing cheap but nothing bank breaking either.

Thanks!

I love my NITTO INVOS. Don't know what you mean by bank breaking exactly, but I got four shoes installed for about $1K.

look at Vredestein Ultra's. I,ve had 3 sets on my car and love them! I can get 30000 out of them with tread left every time, they;re great in the summer and good in rain, reasonably priced, look up Performance Plus tires as a dealer.

Thanks. I heard the Hankook's from a friend would be a good fit. I'll have to take a look.

good tread life and medium priced usually dont go together. I've always been particular to Falcon tires

Kinda hard with that combo of needs, but the B-Stone RE760 would be a good choice. I'd also look at the Hankook V12's. The B-Stone will last longer but aren't as cool looking as the other. Most the time the tire is moving and you can't tell the pattern so I'd look at the performance aspects a little more.

I posted this in another thread on Driver today. I am kind of a tire nut, and have had at least 10-12 different sets of high performance tires over the past 10 years. I have put this together based on personal experience, Tire Rack tests/surveys, magazine/internet tests, and from sources like Consumer Reports. I am not a huge believer in taking data from any one source, but I like to compile as much as I can from many different sources.

For all-around tires (that can handle some rain) I think the following are the best at their respective price points:
Michelin PS2 ($$$)
Conti ExtremeContact DW ($$)
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo ($)

After the above, I would rate the following all pretty similar with various strengths and weaknesses:
BFG KDW2 ($$)
Bridgestone RE760 ($$)
General Exclaim UHP ($)
Yokohama S-Drives ($$)

I have had all of the above except the RE760's, ExtremeContact DW's, and Exclaim UHP's. In addition, I have had Sumitomo HTR, Kuhmo Escata and ASX, Nitto NT-555, Falken FK-451/452, Bridgestone S-03 and RE-050, and I am sure one or two that I am forgetting. The rest just don't make the cut for me on the above lists....

Note: Some of the Dunlop Star Spec tires have tested really well, but I don't have any real knowledge or experience with these, so they are not included. They are also limited in sizes. I know a lot of people like Toyo T1's, but again I don't have any first hand knowledge or experience, so I left them off. I liked the Bridgestone S-03's, but they don't make them anymore, and I have not tried the replacements they offer. I did not care for the Bridgestone RE-050 that came stock on the G37 (it may be close to the S-03).

For all out summer tires (no rain):
Bridgestone RE-11 ($$$)
Advan AD08 ($$$)

agreed with Neal - I have the RE760's, I like them a lot, reasonably priced with excellent tread wear, they grip very well. It has a softer sidewall than that of the stock RE050's which you might feel/hear giving out on you while taking an extreme corners. Other than that, great tire..

Here is a good tire test with the Nitto Invo, Hankook Ventus V12, and Bridgestone RE-760. FWIW, the Invo does horrible, the RE-760 is middle of the pack but is really heavy, and the Hankook does really well.

Yoko Envigors? I'll probably will be getting some next week for my rears. After two patches and one plug I don't feel safe taking anymore chances to drive on them.
