Yeah that makes sense, you reduced the overall diameter of the wheel. Your first set was same diameter as stock and then your second set was smaller. On the 20's, I don't know if I can do that because there is not that much rubber as it is, i'm afraid 255 in Rear (which would be the equivalent of your downgrade) would be so thin that even little potholes will damage the wheel. Is there anyone running 20x10.5 with 255??

You also went from 18" wheels to 20" wheels. From my understanding, you should improve top end speed, but lose some acceleration from that conversion. It would be like if you lowered your gears in your rear diff. You would go faster, it would just take longer to get there. That, coupled with the weight from the vossens, hurts your acceleration.

That makes sense actually I do feel it faster when I'm passing people (on the same stretch of road driving to work I'm actually passing them in higher gear dont feel the need to downshift like I used to). What would be some things you could do to re-gain some acceleration?

Main reason why I do not want Vossens is because they are damn heavy.

Im running Vossen 086s 10.5 on Falken 255s.

I took a rear off my car and weighed it today. With air/tire/rim = 61 lbs.

Anyone know how much the stock 19s weigh with tires/air?

Dunno about the 19s but the 18s with tire and air is 49lbs (just weighed mine). so I gained at least 24lbs in the rear and probably about 18 or so (since it's 20x9.0) in the front. On top of that my tires are bigger.....I can definitely see how it would get slower...
Well see how the tune improves the acceleration.
I was driving behind a TT g37 that thing pulled like a monster....FI is starting to be very temptn lol

I absolutely understand that going from 18x7.5 fr and 18x8.5 rr to 20x9 all around I am gaining weight. But I am not tracking my car. Sure, I like driving fast. Love the handling, too.

But... since I am not racing 1/4 miles... I'll take style over function.

A thread like this makes me happy that I have Advans....I had Vossen 086 and they are very heavy but then again they are a solid one piece cast wheel
