The stock tire size on the g37 seems oddly narrow to me.

Does anyone have any feedback as to whether a slightly plus sized tire, maybe even 245/40/19 all around, would correct the vague dead center feel in the steering wheel? I'll be getting Michelin pilot super sport tires, which I had on my 350z and were totally amazing for anyone curious about that tire.
Have you had it aligned, might be a bit off, and if so it may be wearing the tires in such a way that they're not tracking as well as they should.

Are you running spacers as well? If so, what size?

It's been aligned, and it tracks straight, it's more of a feel thing that I thought could be attributed to the tires seeming a bit stretched and possibly not making as big of a contact patch. I don't actually think anything is wrong suspension wise, it's more of how stable the car feels to the driver.

I know this thread is old, but i can't seem to find an answer to this. A buddy of mine has some lightly used Bridgestones off of a mercedes sl that he's selling for 200. He's a mechanic so i trust him but i need advice. The sizes are 255/35/19 and 285/30/19. Would that setup work on my stock 19" sport wheels? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

The fronts are a decent fit but the backs would be better on a 9.5" minimum width rim. The mount will be pinched in back which will cause the sidewalls to roll under heavy cornering. The tire won't fly off the rim or anything but your cornering stability will decrease.

If you don't really push the car hard then they'll work. Also keep in mind those sidewalls are a series shorter so the ride will be quite firm, like you're riding on 20s.

^ that setup wont rub. If you go to big on the spacers though you then may rub. My recommendation is 15 mm rear 5 mm front with 245/275 setup with a 1 inch drop. That gives you a look that is nice and staggered and looks like it came from the factory that way. You can get away with more up front but to me that shows too much front tire tread from certain angles.

Thanks so ur sayin I can drop it 1 inch around but I have to put 5 mm front spacer and 15 in the rear so it won't rub?

Nope... you dont have to put on the spacers to prevent rubbing. In fact without spacers there should be 0 chance of rubbing with that setup unless something is wrong with the suspension. Without spacers the tires will have more space between the tire surface and the wheel well edges. The larger the spacer, the closer the tire gets to the wheel well edge.

But if you want a little more aggressive looking stance without rubbing (based on my experience with a 1 inch drop and spacers) my recommendation was the 15MM rear / 5 mm front spacers. Some people go with larger spacers. But my recommendation, in my opinion gives it more aggression while keeping it looking like it came from the factory that way

if you get spacers that are too big, you will rub.
