Happy Easter to me, valet ruined my Volks
So I took my girl out for a nice dinner and stayed at a hotel in downtown Ft. Worth last night. I knew I shouldn't have used the valet, but we were trying to have a good time and I really didn't feel like walking 4 blocks in the rain last night. I call for the car this morning, and what do I see? My right front and rear Volk GT30s are curb rashed all to hell. Like chunks missing. In addition, my BRAND new Hankooks are scuffed on that side. I took pictures but would rather not post until it's all settled. It made me want to throw up.
I figured I would be safe as it is one of the nicest hotels in the area, and parked already were numerous high end vehicles, including a Corvette ZR1 and a 2012 GT-R. Instead, they treated my car like ****, and must have literally rammed the right side into a curb.
Anyway, I filled out a claim report, and their account manager is going to contact me tomorrow. Then I assume it will be time to go to battle with their insurance company. In my opinion, both wheels need to be replaced entirely, as the missing metal from the barrel causes them to be permanently out of balance. I am sure they will try to push a BS repair on me though. Additionally, since they are Mag Blue, this color is not able to be replicated and probably can't be obtained due to its rarity and the disaster in Japan (I'm not sure on this though). In which case they would need to replace all four wheels.
Does anybody have any tips on dealing with their insurance, and how to maximize my compensation? Maybe they will do the right thing and reimburse me without hassle, but I'm not counting on it.
Lesson learned, don't EVER valet.
Thanks for reading.

Man, I am so sorry to hear this and I wish you the best of luck in resolving it. I would say the best route is to be nice and calm, but let them know that you will be a major PIA if they don't make you and your car whole again.
My girl always huffs and puffs when I don't valet, but this is exactly why!
Good luck, and if they don't give you what you want, pay a little to have a small claims lawyer write a demand letter. That will light a fire under their ***.

Whenever I hand my car over to ANYONE after what happened at Nissan, I take 4 pictures of all my wheels IN CASE I will ever need them. It sucks man, hopefully they will man up and pay for the damages, good luck.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, it took an incident on a smaller scale for me to learn my lesson about verifying / documenting a vehicles condition upon drop off. (assuming you have a hard time being reimbursed for this, hope you don't)

sorry about your car. that f'in sucks. i thought my car would be okay at a fancy hotel in downtown san diego. wrong. when i handed over my keys, all my gauges were coated in dust. when i got my car back, the boost gauge was wiped clean. there's no need to be looking at boost to move a damn car. valets are almost as bad thieves.

I'm surprised that the hotel is even addmitting fault!! You figure they would just shrug their shoulders and act dumb like "it didn't happen here"....
Hope they come through for you on compensation...
