I am researching 20 inch wheels and I need some help from the experts.

The wheel I want is the Niche Circuit M110 (Matte Black wheel), 20x8.5 in the front, 20x10 or 20x10.5 in the back for a staggered setup.

My question is what width and offset do I need on the wheels? I think the front will be fine, but I am concerned about the rear. I want to avoid rolling fenders, and I would like the wheel to sit just inside the fender without rubbing.

My options:
20x8.5, +35 or +25 for the front
20x10, +40 rear
20x10.5, +25 rear

I've also been told that MHT can make a custom wheel for me. So if that't the case, what is my best setup? 10.0" or 10.5" and with what offset?

Does anyone have pictures with a similar setup?

Wow... aren't you the helpful one! Essentially you hit the guy over the head with a hammer for asking a question. Not everyone is forum savvy.

Forum newbs have - in the past, present, and future - asked questions that have already been answered a million times. I've done it, you've done it (I have to assume you were not always the Einstein you are now) and now so has this guy.

We can choose to be rude about it, or we can help the guy out.

I, admittedly, am not knowledgeable about tires and don't even know what an 'offset' is. Otherwise I'd try to help the gentleman.

I opened this thread in hopes of learning something new.

You may want to mention what your dropped on and how low so that people can help you decide

I will say that I think +25 would poke out and you may need to stretch tires a bit. So since you said you want it to be just inside the fenders, you may have to go with the higher offset. I'm definitely not a wheel guru so maybe someone else can say specifically which offset would be best.

No issues with fit at all! Lowered on coil overs.

If you lower your car a little, you should go with the 20x8.5 +25 and 20x10 +40.

I am running 20x9 +25 (so my front wheel sticks out about 6mm further than the above), but I rub a little on the front fender liner with a 245/35 tire. You will be good with the 8.5 +25.

My rear is a 20x10 +35 (so my wheel will stick out 5mm further than the above). There is no fender to roll in the rear, they are cut from the factory, but you will need to run a little negative camber to clear the fender even with the +40 offset which is not very aggressive (in the mid/high -1.x range, and a mild drop should give you that). I have to run just over -2 degrees with my 275/30 tires. Since your wheel is less aggressive you will be able to clear the fender with less. Just FYI.... If you are lowered, you will probably rub on the fender liner on the rear. This is easy to trim on the rear (the front is not and that is my issue....).

I personally think with an average drop (say Eibachish-- a little over an inch all around) a 20x9 +28 (or in your case a 20x8.5 +22) and a 20x10 +40 will give you a good flush look without anything too aggressive (i.e lots of negative camber or stretched tires). If you want something aggressive, the above does not apply.

Yup.... The problem with offset threads, and yes they get old, is everyone is different. Some people want aggressive, some people want to slam their cars, some people want.... Too many things to pour through and too much bad advice to really make sense of it. If you don't understand offsets and wheels sizes, you are out of luck. There is no one size fits all when it comes to wheels.

Everyone asks stupid questions (I searched a couple of OMG35S's threads, and he had a few that he could of easily searched for). I don't know that it makes sense to post something like "search." If you don't like the question, don't respond.... It's the internet, what do you expect? I have bypassed many a threads because I thought they were stupid questions, but I have never just told someone to search (I may suggest it in conjunction with another response....).

I had a similar issue when looking for wheels (im a newbie), I'd go straight to the manufacturer..that's the best place to start as they should be most knowledgeable and they might recommend a reputable Dealer to work with in your area.

I have an 09 sport sedan and just bought some Vossen CV1 (20x9 +32 all around)...still waiting for them to arrive but did a lot of research and heard mixed messages about offsets and fitting with our calipers, etc.

Also may want to check the warranty...

i am going to guess here and hoping your G37 is the same setup as my G35. The offset of these cars is +35. The higher the number the better for you. The lower you go, you might as well pull your fenders. I now have +27 all around now.

I like the Niche Circuits and seriously considered getting them. They look good and are CHEAP!!!
Go with the 25 front 40 rear and use a spacer back there.

Can someone explain to me exactly what "offset" means? I'm ignorant on the subject of wheels, myself.

I'd like to do what 009gf4me did and go with the same width all around so I can rotate them for tread longevity. I'm a little on the conservative side and would probably go 19's, but I can't say 20's are out because I don't really want to lower it, I just want to close that gap that the 18's leave.

So when you say (for example) +30 offset, what does it mean? a 30mm spacer or something? And putting larger tires on is going to change your speedometer reading... is that an easy fix getting it to read correctly with the larger tires?

I'm not quite a newb when it comes to forums of this design, but even as a guy that loves cars and is semi-smart when it comes to them... I really have no clue about this subject. Always went with stock wheels, even on my last G.

If you wanna go with a concave wheel like the Vossen cv1 you have to run a 20x9 with 32 offset all around if not a concave wheel a 20x10.5 will work on back and 20x9 in front

My girl friend has an 09 g37s sedan and we got the Vossen Cv1s for her car and they had to be 20x9 all around to fit with an Eibach pro kit

I think you measure from the middle of the hub to the out part of the rim. And that will determine the off set of the rim.
