Then they have proprietary locks underneath the magnetic one.

That lock is not like the "infiniti oem locks" that every shop has a key to. Im glad i bought these, expensive yes but im happy with them. And i have a full set of formula locks so if they got these 4 off they'd still need another 16 sockets and a long time hammering to get my wheels

Where did you get these? I was planning on getting them but the price was around 130-140 shipped to the US

LOL @ These guys making a killing. A die for that stud would've been about $10. I suppose they did have to take each wheel off and back on, so $50 isn't the worst deal ever.
Ah well at least you're good to go now. Congrats! Be careful now and dont force the square block into the round hole. :P

There's different ends to lugnuts. "Acorn" ones are the most common OEM lugs, while many aftermarket wheels and lugs are "conical". OEM Infiniti lugs are neither.

All specs have to match, not just one or two, or they won't properly hold the wheel on.
I thought acorn and cone are the same seat? and also that OEM infinit's have acorn/cone seats?? someone please clear this up.

Our wheels are some kind of aweird hybrid.

They are like cones, but its not the cone that holds the wheel, its the washer which is more like a mag lug.

OEM wheel locks are McGuard.

@ Brooklynstar, i am glad you got that worked out. It could have been worse.

Acorn refers to the other end.

Ya sounds about right i got them from nengun or something like that. Only place i could find that sells them. But knowing they're that expensive kinda gave me a piece of mind that not many people have the keys

true that. I might consider ordering them from the same place. Do these fit OEM rims fine? Do you happen to know if they fit the OEM sport rims?

I bought the OEM MCguard wheel locks, and put them on, they seem to be good enough protection unless the thief has my key. Banging a socket might prove difficult since the key in the inner part. I think the socket wouldn't be able to grip the locks rounded shell to apply enough torque to remove the lock. Either way I hope it makes most thieves say "its not worth my time."

They should fit the OEM wheels. I just heard OEM locks can't work on aftermarket wheels.

They would need to bang on the socket. But if i saw the wheels and wanted them. I would just spend the 10 bucks on eBay for that lug key and take the wheels. Would be alot easier than buying them. I just try to think like the thief, and what they'd do. But i also have expensive rims so i justified spending the cash on them.
