The last time i checked, Gorila did NOT make an application for the G37S. Our lugs are weird, they are sort of "mags" with a washer. I called them up and they said they do not make them. I heard that they are in the process of making a new design for us.

The original mcguard locks do very little becasue (at least here in the NY) theives have the keys and there is only so many patterns to go around. My dealer sais that they even stole wheels from their (the dealer) parking lot so he suspects they have a master key.

Nevertheless, wheel locks do help. Silly as it is I have 3 sets and yes, the idea is to slow them down and pick another car rather than yours. Technically they can pop them off with preper tools but that makes noise and they would need to do it 3 x 4 = 12 times to remove my wheels.

I think everyone should decide for themselves, but as long as these wheels fit on any honda and nissan etc, this is always going to be a problem.

Be careful using non OEM locks. Just because the threading fits, does not mean they are holding anything.

those are the regular mcguard locks same as the dealer. Did you get 2 matching sets or 2 unique sets with different keys?

Sorry. This doesn't make sense to me. You're saying lug nuts that have the correct specifications may not hold the wheel onto the stud?

I did not say correct specifications, I said correct threading. Even if the threading is the same, there are other specs that may be different on a Honda. There have been posts on other forums where people put on wrong lugs and the wheels fall off underway.

Honda's threading is 1.5
Nissan's threading is 1.25

There's different ends to lugnuts. "Acorn" ones are the most common OEM lugs, while many aftermarket wheels and lugs are "conical". OEM Infiniti lugs are neither.

All specs have to match, not just one or two, or they won't properly hold the wheel on.

Ah I see what you are saying. I was recommending him to lock nuts that would work though. OEM locks are over priced and only come with one lock for each wheel making the lug nuts out of uniform and looking weird lol.

If you put 1.5 threaded lugs on your car, you might want to check for damage. Usually you encounter some decent resistance after a few turns or two... unless you impacted the lugs on.

Lol. There must be some kind of mistake. He would've had to impact the hell out of them to get them on.

with an impact, you wouldn't even notice... happens all the time when you cross thread.

I did it before, so i always thread lugs on for a turn before impacting it on the rest of the way (and then torquing by hand). This was all with a cordless impact that doesn't have anywhere near the strength of an air impact.

Indeed. I always get my tighten by hand as far as possible.
