Just a few months ago, one poor guy watched the wheels being taken away from his car on his drive way. He immediately called the police and by the time he rushed outside of the house, the wheels and thieves were gone.

Is it bad that I would like my wheels to get stolen with the curb rash I have? Get some fresh and clean ones from insurance!

He did the right thing. He wasn't sure if the thieves were armed. Call the police first, then go grab his weapon for self defense...but too late...they were gone.

A camera is effective as long as the thieves are aware of it.

The other extreme is to take the wheels inside the house and re-mount in the morning. Such a painful process, I doubt people would go this extreme.
