Anyone here running staggered rims with AWD?
Anyone here running staggered rim sizes on a G37x? I was wondering if there are any issues or problems?
Thank you
Thank you

I researched this topic extensively and spoke with reps at three Infiniti dealers, as well as a rep at Tire Rack. As someone previously stated, the width of the tire doesn't matter, it's the diameter of the wheels that matters. If the diameter of each wheel is not the same (or very close to being the same) the AWD will engage. There is a tolerance threshold (some say 3%, while others say 5%) that you must be below. Here's a cool website where you can check the diameter of wheels based on different tire sizes: Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com After you enter the specs, scroll down to the tire diameter and it will show you the difference in diameter in inches, mm, and as a percent. By the way, I never knew that despite the rim size and side wall height being the same, the width of a tire will effect the diameter.

I am running vossen cv-2s 10.5 in the back. Only been a few hunted miles but no problems so far. DO your research with the tire sizing calculator t make sure dolly diameter will be same. My setup is around 0.37% diff only.
I'll let you know how it goes in 5000 miles tho : )

Front:
20x9.0 in 245/35ZR -20 (hankook v12) +32 offset
Rear
20x10.5 in 285/30ZR -20 +45 offset
p.s I am not sure about the offset I have to double check but that is the "conservative" offset I believe out of the ones that Jav posted up when he introduced CV-2s. You can see in the pic the front wheel really is not concave by much adn the back wheel has some, but not as much as some others.

Use that site....seriously (I spent hours on it lol). Here's the way I would recommend you use it:
First, put in the OEM specs 225/50/18 (not sure about offset), then put in the front wheel you want. Check to make sure it's pretty close in diameter (should be within 1%) and put in the offset you want, it will tell you whether that offset should work or maybe a problem. Then put in that front wheel specs and put in the rear wheel in the second column. Make sure the rolling diameters is EXACTLY equal, no point in subjecting the AWD to even a little difference here. Lastly, put in the OEM specs back in 1st column and the rear wheel specs in 2nd, check which offsets would work. The setup you posted on the other thread the wheel's rolling diameter was gonna be different.
Anyway any of the offsets vossen sells for g37 is a direct fit UNLESS you have a BBK installed. The offsets are posted whenever Jav announces a wheel so just search for that thread for whatever wheel you want and look at the available offsets. Just email them to double check, but for a g37x you shouldn't have any issues. I have no idea for the other wheel brands : )
