What rims to get
i am getting a 2008 g37 in obsidian black with graphite interior and i was wondering if i can get some suggestions on some new rims. looking to spend around $1k

Get what you can afford and like? By all means, if you can afford something like HRE, you can definitely go with that. Or if you're short on funds and wants something less pricey, IMO, RPF-1 in 19s would look pretty good.
It really comes down to what your preference is. Bottom line is, get what you want.

Congratulations on the new G, it's a real beauty. Like the others said, buy what looks nice to you and that you can afford. There are a lot of nice wheels out there at all diff. price levels.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but, to be completely honest, any set of wheels you get for $1,000 will be a downgrade from stock.
If you are really set on changing your wheels, my suggestion would be to keep saving for a little while until you can afford a quality, reputable set of wheels.
