Tire Size Options for G37x

I am looking at getting a second set of wheels and tires for my 2010 G37xS. I have the Blizzak LM-60s on my stock wheels and am looking to get a second set of wheels for my summer/all-season tires. I was looking at the Conti DWS but as you know they don't come in the OEM 225/50/18. The 2 closest sizes are 235/50/18 and 245/45/18.

The 245/45/18 are almost the exact same diameter as the OEM 225/50/18.
Anyone running the 245/45/18 all around on the x? Any drawbacks to putting
wider tires all around?

Thanks in advance,

Tire Newbie

Of the two, I would look at the 245/45-18. They are a lot closer in diameter to the oe size and are more popular of a fitment.

I'm also looking at the Conti DWS for my G37xS, but want to know if the 245/45/18s were to wide for the stock 18x7.5 (I think). some seem to think that they will bouble out to much.

That size will work fine on the oe wheels. Common upgraded size as well.

I'm looking for 245/45/18 for track use, Neal can you give me some suggestions?

I'd look at the B-Stone RE-11, Dunlop Z1 in that order for what's available.

I have the 245/45/18 Conti's DWS and they are awesome. Fit stock 18in sport wheels fine and look great on the car. I have owned them for a year and I can't say anything bad about this tire. In 6in of snow I was flying by people and in 2 in rainfalls they have been very predictable. I would buy these again in a minute. Listen to Neal, he recommended these to me last year and I haven't looked back.
