The CV3s are only 1lb heavier than the stocks...although may be a little more if you are adding bigger tires...not much tho

IMO I if you pick up 5-10lbs on wheels, its really not a big deal. I mean think about it in terms of the driver of a car's weight differential. I am a girl about 155lbs...so my extra 5-10lbs in wheels probably won't matter compared to a guy at 200lbs LOL!!! ...hey if you're really worried about it, just take the spare out of your trunk ......but in all honesty, if you're looking for a lighter wheel, go w/ volk or incurve. our cars are heavy as hell (3700lbs)...so if you're worried about performance, trying to make it lighter probably isn't the way to go...i'd concentrate more on engine mods than weight mods....buuuut if you're doing weight mods, first thing i'd do would be to get rid of the 70lb seats

There is a difference between weight in your car, seats, tires, ect compared to unsprung weight such as wheels and tires.

might be a dumb question, but i'm looking to be educated....so as far as performance..how does additional unsprung weight hurt other than the obvious weight/hp ratio?...more change of wheel hop? less cornering stability? ....i was told my performance shouldn't be affected w/ the cv3s...

cool..yea i just looked up the specs on my cv3/tire set up and I only gained 1lb total on each wheel (my tires weighed about the same as the stocks)...for anyone else interested, I found this blog, which was pretty interesting: Unsprung weight and why I want less of it :0 - Subaru WRX Forum: WRX Forums
I'm going to go take some corners now on my way home from work and see what i think LOL

Thanks guys!!
And of course, I dont care about few more pounds on the car, but I was worried they are way heavier than stockies.
Whats the biggest tire width that i can run on 10.5 rear Cv3s? (no stretching) just regular looking tire sidewalls?

Do 255/35/20 in the front and 285/30/20 in the back. 285 fits perfectly w/ no stretch & no rubbing. I am lowered on eibachs and the fit is perfect w/ no rubbing at all. I looked at putting a 305 tire on the back but it would've had some issues. The 285 looks badass from the back I must say and i've gotten a lot of compliment already (just got mine on a week ago)
