20s as a daily driver?

Hey, I'm planning making my oem 18s into winter wheels and getting 20s for the rest of the year in summer tires. Do any of you ride in 20s daily? Roads out here are surprisingly good, so potholes are not a huge deal, but I'm still not sure if there danger of damaging 20s through daily use?

Btw, is D2autosport the best place to get vossens? Seems like they are very reputable and have good prices...

I'm doing the same, I have my 18" winter tires on my car now and am switching over to the 20"s as my daily driver wheels after this snow season.

Many of us have been riding 20's on dailys for years. I have. There's danger if you drive in an area where the roads are like Afghanistan or if you don't know how to drive. The only damage so far was boneheadedness when I curbed one but it was driver error not a problem with the equipment.

as long as you go with meaty sized tires like 245/35/20 fronts and 285/30/20, you'll be happy.

Yup I love em and the ride is great. I am still looking to lower on coils but in the meantime the 20's have been great on these tires.

I'm running 20's with 245/35 and 275/30 and have had zero problems.

Also if you are looking for Vossens just PM Jav@Vossen and he will hook you up

Think of it this way:
It's not the size of the rim that should worry you, rather it's the size of the tire.
If you have a 15" rim running a 25 profile tire, you have a MUCH higher chance of dinging that rim versus running a 35 profile tire on a 20" rim.

That said, I run 20x8.5 fronts with 245/35/20 tires and 20x10 rears with 275/30/20 with no drop. I am not worried about anything, and can't be, as anything can happen.

Does it matter if the G37 is a coupe or Sedan?

Not at all. The only thing that might change is the specific offsets you get, but that won't effect whether or not you can run 20's

Hit a couple good potholes on mine no damage... it can happen though see: "www.o*u*r*v*q.com/index.php?/topic/2517-pothole-1-stems-0/page__p__91345__hl__pothole__fromsearch__1#entry91 345" Cracked Vossens. (remove asterisks in above link) I try and run 38psi at least to help.
