Question Tires worn at 7.5K miles?!

This morning on my way in to work, my center dash displayed said I needed new tires. My car has 7.5K miles on it. I know these are Z-rated tires, but I've typically gotten closer to 2x that number of miles out of my Z-rated tires before. I didn't have time to look at the tread this morning to see if it might be some kind of false report. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't think our cars tell us when our tires are worn out.. I think you have low tire pressure.....

Likely just a reminder to rotate them.

Yeah, I was wondering how it would know about tread (aside from just some kind of scheduled reminder). TPMS makes much more sense. Okay, perhaps where it's cooled down so much the air in my tires has condensed or something. Thanks!

It is the reminder to rotate them. The TPMS is just a little indicator on the left side.
