Recommended WHEEL polishes?? currently have VOLKS

Hey Everyone, I've been looking up polishes and techniques for polishing wheels pretty much all night. Obviously many many MANY people recommend NEVER using anything besides soap and H2O! I would agree with this, but I received my Volk GT30's used, and they have a few spots on them that did not come off with just soap and water. Trust me, I TRIED MY HARDEST!

SO I figure my next step is to do an all out polish on them, afterall, they ARE polish lips right?

What polishes and techniques do anyone recommend?? Experiences??

Thanks Everyone, REALLY appreciate the help!!

I usually just do soap and water really... some polish stuff are hard to trust with all these chemicals they use. I suggest you to read the back labels on them...

^^^ I know all of this. I know to get a low PH, I know that its recommended to only use soap in water. I'm NOT asking that.

I'm simply asking if anyone uses and recommends a wheels cleaner/polish for their aluminum wheels that they have used from experience.

If they are uncoated aluminum, take some mothers Mag and Aluminum wheel polish to them by hand or with a powerball. I have Champions on my other car and use it all the time. It is a pretty weak polish though. If you need something stronger, you can always use English Customs.

If you aren't sure if they are uncoated or coated, take some cleaner/wax and rub it on the wheel. If it comes off black, they are uncoated, if it comes off clean, they are likely coated with a clearcoat and you'll have to use a polish that you would use on paint.

the GT-30's are painted faces and the lip is either stainless steel or or chromed, can't remember. there are certain products to use for each case.
