I've just recently replaced the stock Bridgestones on the stock 19 inch wheels with Falken FK452's but with wider set-up. I went with 245-40-19 in the front and 275-35-19 in the rear. Personally, I think it handles and looks much better than stock. Although the Falkens looks like they dont have much of a rim protector, which wont matter unless you are very careful when parking.
Anywho...to sum up. Go with the 275-35 in the rear, 245-40 in front. Hankook and Falken's are both good choices for cheap replacements.

if you stay with the stock rims then yeah 275 is prob the largest you wanna go w/o worrying about rub especially if you're gonna get eibachs, but if you get another set of rims (in my case my stock rims got all messed up so I had to find a replacement set -- I went to 19x8.5 with 245/40 in the front and 19x9.5 with 285/35 in the rear but you're definitely right lol, the stock tires look very skinny for my taste as well
