R1 Racing Wheels (DRIFT) - Anyone heard of them?

I have been searching for wheels for over two weeks and finally found one I like. I called a local shop to see if they carried it but when he called the company R1 Racing he said he got someone on their cell phone, sounded like they were in a basement etc. Anyone the impression he got was that this company wasn't really stable or appeared to be a very professional company.

Regardless I wanted to find out if others have used these wheels before and whether you have had any problems with them. I will not be buying the wheels directly from the manufacture anyways but if anything either local or from Wheelsnext Any input or feedback you guys have will be great.

The one I'm looking at is the DRIFT in Black. I like their deep lip look.

R1 RACING WHEELS

Thanks

Meeehh. I like the Spike or the Spider the best but looks like this company pretty much knocked off every nice wheel out there.

Well I got some updates. The wheels are $312 (front 20x8.5) and 323 (back 20x10). HOWEVER I found out that the manufacture is no longer shipping these wheels and they are discontinued. I guess they are going out of business or already did. The dealers are only selling what's in stock and that it.

I'm glad I looked into it further. I'm really starting to hate this process. Every wheel I find has some issues. I also liked the MRR Design GT-1 but found out that I needed a 3mm spacer for it to work. While it's no big deal I rather not use spacers.

Still open for options!!!

I've actually gone down to their office. Theyre located in so cal in a city called Pico Rivera, not too far from where I live. Funny thing is that this place actually gets all there wheels from wheelsnext.com.

I'm now looking at the Concept One RS8 wheels. I just saw them in SEMA and they look really good.

Agree! Also, no 20 inch version of the "spike." Look like decent quality though. I would rock some knockoffs.
