"Perfectly Balancing...?"

Hi guys.. I just went to USA Wheels to get my Volks "perfectly balanced" but the shop ran into two issues with my front and rear tire. The front left tire is off by 1.1 and the back right rear is off by 1.4 or something like that. The guy I bought the Volks from had 3 bent wheels but got them refinished and re-powdercoated. However the guy at USA Wheels told me my Volks were perfectly round but my front left tire and back rear right tire were messed up and would need to be replaced because I'll get vibration. I did get vibration at around 70 MPH on the parkway and disappointed.

I want to know if you guys knew anything or had any experience with this. I honestly don't think there is anything wrong. The shop closed at 1 which is when they basically started to work on my car and I feel maybe they wanted to get the work done fast so didn't really properly balance my tires. However I'm starting to feel maybe the two rims maybe slightly bent or something, but they looked fine to me..?

Yea, I've been told by my tire guy that rarely, some tires can't be perfectly balanced due to slight defects.

Hunter Roadforce Balancing

I won't use anything else, the results have been terrific year after year, car after car for me.
Hunter GSP9700 Wheel vibration Control System solves wheel vibration and tire pull problems that balancers and aligners can
This site lists places that have one in your area, I don't have any affiliation with them.

So does this detect which wheels are vibrating? I already know which one's are, I just to need to find out why they are. I don't think they are balanced correctly because I think they rushed it, but IDK. Does this machine properly balance my wheels and tires?

roadforce

It is a balancing machine that puts the same pressure on the tire as the car does as the tire/wheel spins. The computer will help diagnose if the wheel or tire are at fault. They do one tire/wheel combo at a time, off the car. Sometimes the technician can dismount the tire, and reinstall with the tire highpoint opposite the wheel highpoint to eliminate vibration. The roadforce machine makes it easier to do that. I have had tire/wheel combos that could not be balanced perfectly on other equipment. With the roadforce machine the tech was able to get those same tire/wheels balanced so the car rides perfectly smooth. I've also had it detect out-of-spec tires that had to be replaced. It's the best balancing machine on the market. it is an expensive investment for the repair shop so they likely have trained the techs how to use it properly.

Depending on how bad the wheels were bent and how well they fixed them seems like your problem. Just because they "look" okay doesn't mean they are. But then again if you took them to a good place to get fixed then I wouldn't see y they would vibrate. I never got roadforce balancing on my G always regular balancing and mounting at my friends shop for $40 and never vibrated.

^^+1 on the road force balancing.... very effective for helping to match tire/wheel defects to help cancel out vibration. Most people don't realize that even a square tire can be balanced out to "0.00 -0.00" on a high speed balance machine. Theres no guaranty that the Hunter machine will successfully balance the wheels but you will know before putting them back on the car if they will give you problems.
The tech should be able to tell on any machine if the wheel is true and if this is the issue or if it's a tire construction defect...
