Exclamation Bridgestone RE760

Hey everyone, so this past spring I was in need of tires so after much research, I knew I wanted to stay within the stock tire sizes so I decided to give these RE760s a try. I loved them at first, great tire, low road noise however its flaws quickly became apparent with my driving style. Im a very free spirited driver, I love my 4 wheel active steer and I use it in every corner, sometimes my on/off ramp speeds are 60-80mph and most of it is attributed to the tire sticking.

I noticed that my 760's were great at high speeds but corners, the tire would grip well but they would start squealing quite a lot therefor I would lose confidence in them and slow down. I never once had that with my RE050's. The 760's reduced my corner speeds by almost 10-15mph, I can push them but I dont have faith in them.

Would I buy these tires again? Its really hard to say, the thread on them still looks money as suppose to that of the RE050's which after 5 months showed considerable wear. Rain traction on the 760's is GREAT!! I was not expecting that since the RE050's were **** poor in the rain. Having compared the 2 bridgestones, if I wanted to stay within oem tire sizes, I would go back to the RE050's, the 760s are great dont get me worng, but I love taking corners hard. The 760s allow that, but its not as enjoyable as it is with the RE050s. The 760's will last you however quite some time so thats a big plus gor me. Unfortunately my lease will be next year and I wont be able to try other brands that I have been reading about. Hope all this helps, some pics below..

please excuse my dirty tires..

All season tires, are by definition, a compromise

If you want to be really hardcore, buy a second set of wheels and have an all season tire for when it rains and some (even more) aggressive summer tires for when it is dry!

I love how this (summer) tire looks

Been a great tire for quite some time. I think you'll like them long term as well.

they are not all season tires, they are ultra high performance, I knew they were a step down of the RE050s..

Neal, I do like them and im glad I did get them because these will take me to the end of the lease and I wont have to change tires again..

I also switched from the RE050 to the RE760 on my sport sedan and noticed the increased tire squeal when taking corners at high speed; I attribute that to the softer sidewall of the 760. Don't let the squeal deter you though, the 760 still grips well around corners.

The 760 ride and noise is way better than the RE50 even though it's a summer tire.

They dont deter at all, the 4WAS make up for the loss, but you are correct that the softer sidewall def. plays a factor in this, otherwise its a great tire!

I wish I use the RE11's

Have you considered adding camber to help with the tire roll-over?

not really, these tires only see 7 months of action and then the rest of the duties fall on the blizzaks. The wheels will be coming off around thanksgiving and they have another summer left and then bye bye G

I don't like them because they don't grip as well as I thought they would, the softer sidewall contributes to the squealing. Other than that its a great tire

squeeling during turns means it loosing traction doesnt it. only tires that ever squeeled for me were some cheap tires I had on my older cars.
