Guess the only way to truly know what you have is pull one front and rear off the car. The dimensions of the wheel will be cast into the backside. ET = offset and should say something like 19J8.5 or 8.5J19 etc representing the diameter/width.

ok guys, HELP ME DECIDE:

oem size michelin pilot ss or
245/275 (larger) continental extreme dw (still less expensive then oem michelin)

I am an average driver on california roads, I like to take corners a bit fast, nothing else crazy. I have eibach sway/roll bar combo all else stock (and back ceramic brakes).

I dont want to lose speed off the line or screw with my suspension etc.

Assuming you have a coupe:
225/45-19 O/A circumference = 84.736"
245/40-19 O/A circumference = 83.933"

245/40-19 O/A circumference = 83.932"
275/35-19 O/A circumference = 83.500"

Rear difference is 99.48%, so you you actually pick up a slight bit of gearing advantage. YOU still have to make the decision. It basically comes down to you tolerance to price.

Which Tires Are Better

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at replacing my tires on my 08 G37 Coupe. I really like the Yoko S.drives and also the Ventus V12 evo.

My tire sizes are 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 in the back. Tires are running on 20" Vossen rims.

I'm open to suggestions on better tires that are reasonably priced ($1000/set)

Looking for good grip on cornering and good stopping power.

Thanks

Nick

Here's the list of Summers at tirerack in those sizes~ Using Cookies I have the previous version of the Kumho Ecsta Max performance summers and they've performed very well. For the price the Hankook and Kumho would be my choice.

Can you go 275/40 in the rear, will it rub if you go 40 or do you have to go 275/35 ?
