Tire Rotation - TPMS reset ?

Got a 2010 G37 Sedan (journey + prem , NO SPORT)
Dealer wants $59 bucks to rotate tires and reset TPMS.
Discount tire does it for free

Why is the TPMS reset important ? Can Discount tire or someone else do it ?

What is the correct pattern for tire rotation on G37 (front left to right rear etc ?)

thanks
Matchan

Ive been getting my tires rotated and balanced at Discount Tire on a 2009 G37xS. I have had no problems. Not sure why they need to reset the TPMS...

They dont. Dont pay the dealer $60 to rotate your tires, that's robbery.

the TPMS are not tire specific. The ONLY time you should need to reset the TPMS is if you get a new sensor

I'd report that TPMS reset BS to Nissan Corporate.

The G actually knows which sensor goes where, but the pressure data is not displayed so it doesn't matter day to day.

However, error codes WILL tell which specific sensor is at fault. You'd just have to check all of them if they are mixed up and there is a fault code.

For what it's worth ... mine have been mixed up for years.

reset tpms only if you bought new sensors. if all your doing is rotating tires for stock wheels then you dont need to reset the tpms

It's not the TPMS

The message you see (I'm betting) is the Maintenance interval reminder to get the tires rotated. Your dealer set it the last time the tires were rotated. If not, my bad....disregard
