Buying Hankook Ventus V12 but need help with choosing/ matching size.

I'm buying Hankook Ventus V12 (G37S Sedan) but I would like some advise on choosing size since exact size is not available on this brand.

Default spec on G37S Sport Sedan :
Bridgestone Potenza
225/50/18 (Front)
245/45/18 (back)

and there isn't a matching size... thanks.

Just bought the same tires today, but I have a G37S Coupe with 19" wheels. Orginals were 225/45/19 and 245/40/19.

Went to:
Front: 245/40/19
Back: 275/35/19

According to TireRack, here are all the sizes this tire comes in for an 18" rim.
215/40ZR18
215/45ZR18
225/40ZR18
225/45ZR18
235/40ZR18
245/35ZR18
245/40ZR18
245/45ZR18
255/35ZR18
255/40ZR18
255/45ZR18
265/35ZR18
265/40ZR18
275/35ZR18
275/40ZR18
285/30ZR18
285/35ZR18
295/30ZR18

Go to a fatter (wider) tire!
Front: 245/45ZR18
Back: 255/45ZR18 or 265/40ZR18

Coogar,

what size tires would you recommend for a base model 2008 G37 Coupe?

Current tire size:
225/50/18 (Front)
225/50/18 (Back)

^^Closest size they make those in that will work properly is a 245/45-18.

antoniolea - You could use the 245/45-18 all around. Pretty common and will fit the oe wheels fine.

Hi Neal,

I have coupe 19s but Tirerack have no Hankook fronts for the moment. I considered the 225/40/19 for the fronts but the tech on the phone said it's a no-go because I'll be 1 inch off.

Your thoughts on whether fitting 225/40 would be fine, or should I just wait patiently for the 225/45 to be stocked?

Appreciate your input.

Danny

Yup. The 245's will fit wheels 7.5" - 9.0" wide, oe wheels are 7.5 front and 8.5 rear. Will work fine.

They are an inch overall different than oe which will reduce the load carrying capacity and may throw off the stability control.
