MB Wheels from discounttiredirect.com

I just got a 2010 G37x sedan last month and am thinking about getting winter tires and new alloys. I know nothing about alloy wheels. Does anybody have any experience with the quality of MB brand wheels sold by discounttiredirect.com? The MB wheels are just $98 each and you get $50 off when you buy a set of 4. Any other suggestions for wheels? My boss (an Audi fanatic) says I should buy good quality (expensive) wheels because the G37x is a heavy car.

Thanks.

I dont know anything about the brand, but if an Audi driver is using them....then the first thing i would suggest is check the bolt pattern. German and Japanese cars use different bolt patterns....so I would check to see if they have one that fits your car (i think 120x5)

thats all the help i can give you

Keep your stock wheels/tires for winter, and get some nice wheels for the warmer months.

I had some MB motorsports wheels (I think they are the same, just a different division of the company) for track wheels on my old 03 G35 coupe. They were 17x9 all around and weighed in at right around 20 lbs. I had absolutely no problems with them and got many compliments on them. THey were a very similar style to a Volk TE37. They were very reasonably priced as well!!

They are generally good wheels. Some of their wheels are used in competition (i.e. track).

Most, if not all, of the MB Motoring wheels should still be made by A-Tech, part of the Maruka umbrella. Some of the models still have A-Tech stamped on either the lip, or the spoke -- similar to what Enkei does for Nissan/Infiniti OEM rims.

I have 18" MB Weapon in gun metal color for the winter. So far, so good, but it's only been one winter with them. The road salt will wreck any wheel if you don't keep it clean.

Do you have a picture of the wheels on your car?

In Quebec we can't do that since we legally have to use winter tires during winter now or else it's a fine. Rumor is the rest of Canada will soon adopt that law.. not sure if they will or if it has been done already.
