That's why I hate Nitto it's not a good tire in my opinion cause it gets dangerous to drive the car specially when the weather is wet
this explains it. you just didn't do your research...nitto nt-05s are not all season tires. even the invos are considered max summer tires.

then yes i agree you should stick with the yoko s. drives like my wife has on her tc.

nt05s are more track tires than street tires.

ive got the s.drives and very happy with them. ive had toyo t1-r and nitto invos before. all good tires but the s.drives are cheaper with still great grip. i guess i dont notice the noise as much as some people or deal with it better.

Living in Houston, I don't ever drive in snow. I do have to drive in rain a fair bit. Therefore, my next tires will be:

Continental Extreme Contact DW

Best combination of wet, dry and comfort ratings I have seen on a summer tire.

That's the tire I narrowed down to, as well - except I would go ahead and get the DWS - we get occasional snow in Dallas, and sometimes I like to drive north in the winter...

Do you have 18" wheels? I don't see a size in the DW I could use on a 17". 235-55 or 255-50.

I'm thinking about trying the Nitto INVO's myself but would like to hear from anyone who have tried the Micheline Pilot Sports. Anyone have these?

Edit: scratch that. I remember why I crossed these off the list now. Zero tire selection. Back to the Nitto's.

I advice you to go for Michelin Pilot Sport SP2 and not even think about Nitto if you go for Michelin cause these are too good if you compare them to Nitto. I wouldn't even compare any Tire to Michelin cause they are soooooo good and that's why you see them in Rally World Championship cars.

The SP2 might be a great tire (I'd love to try it) but it is an ugly azz tire. I mean boring as it gets. And way expensive. $395 for a 285/30-20 versus $272 for the INVO. For almost $130 more per tire those PS2's better be a hell of a lot better.

Oh, big factor here, I would not expect the tires to not slip in the rain. We don't normally drive her G unless it's nice out.

Ivoid I would Avoid (seee what I did thar?) the INVO man. I've heard too many mixed opinions n them to even consider them for myself.

Some people love them, but most important to me, is some people absolutely hated them.

I would recommend the S.Drive, I personally loved that tire on my 20's.

Advan Sports are also good tires.

Yeah, the reviews are all over the place for those tires (INVO's). The Corvette guys seem to give them thumbs up more than not though.

I just want something that is quieter than the stock tires with a lot more grip. Grip is more important though. Life of the tire does not matter too much as the car is only a summer car (nice weather). The ride quality is a small factor too but grip is the most important. Dry not wet.

Do you think the 275/35/19 size on the front and rear will cause a problem with clearance on the front? If not, then the tires could be rotated to increase the tread life.
