Hey guys.

So I'm having thoughts of selling my Phantom Ed. GT30's. Had them on since Feb. 2009.

Looking at a cleaner set up on my Amethyst Graphite coupe.

I'm currently looking at the Vossen 078, 085, or 087 in silver machined finish w/ polished lip.

What do you guys think?

 

I think both GT-30 and Vossen are a little overplayed on the G but of the two I think the Vossen 086's look the best on the G.

Out of the ones you listed I personally would just keep the GT30's on.

 

that's downgrading. if anything, get the wheels stripped down to polished look or powdercoat a custom color.

 

No myk please your car is so sick as it is. You have the cleanest AG on the site imo.

If you must go with vossens, I would say go with their forged line.

 

Please don't get rid of the Volks for Vossens...

 

It's your car man, do what makes you happy. But obviously it's a downgrade from forged to cast wheels.

 

Vossen is great quaility wheels. Its not considered as a down grade b.c they are two diff company going for different purpose. Volks are more towards perfermance. And vossen more for looks and appearance. Depends on what u want but vossen forged is good in between two diff purposrs imo.

 

Just refinish your Volks... Change color on the centers or the lips, or both

 

I say Go W Vossen Forged , the G37 looks it's best sporting a Classier looking wheel and fits the Luxury appearance the G37 has. GL w your Decision though .

 

Thanks for the replies guys. Thanks for the compliments Gamedog. I would be happy if I can de-phantomize the GT30's and strip off the flat black paint on the barrel/lip. Anyone know how that can be done?

 

Why would you want to downgrade? It's like trading in a rolex for a casio watch.

If you want a polished lip gt30, trade with someone or take your wheels to a place that can refinish your lip to polished

 

It's not a downgrade at all, they are made for totally different purposes.

 

Let's trade! I want some performance wheels now lol. J/k!
