need help with tires

just hit 33,500 and my service tech told me i need new tires asap.

I have the sport 19's with the bridgestone re050A's. I have read the other threads that are suggesting yokohama s drives, but those seem to be strictly a summer tire-

does anyone on here have more of an all season suggestion that will last me more than 30k miles?

Um, you know the RE050s that came with your sport were also strictly summer tires, right?

the Dunlops that come on the Journey models are more of an all season tire. the Bridgestones on the S are pure summer tires like Shadow said

If you find the Yokahamas stocked anywhere, please let me know. It seems that the front-tire size is on back order just about everywhere.

I suppose you could go with the same size in front and back, using perhaps the Yokahamas or maybe MICHELIN Pilot Sport A/S Plus.

Best of luck.

Well where do you live? You may or may not need all-season tires depending on the weather conditions. I live in Cali, so all-seasons aren't really necessary.

If you don't have an X (sounds like not since you have the sport wheels) you might also want to consider getting dedicated snow tires for the winter. Especially up in New England with RWD. That's at least the ideal setup for this car -- gives you the superior handling of summer performance tires for most of the year and much better winter traction as well.

All-seasons are sort of a compromise in both situations. Of course, since tires and money don't grow on trees, sometimes there's not much else you can do. But I wanted to throw my $.02 in there.

That's a really good point that i didn't even think of. If you do NOT have the X i would definitely get pure snow tires for the G. It will make things so much easier when the inevitable big snow comes around
