Exclamation *Vossen VVS-CS1 On MW Vert

I got them mounted yesterday, the pictures do not do the car justice and the gap in the front fender is slightly exaggerated due to the incline the car was sitting on.

I need to return to the shop this weekend to make some adjustments. The offset is a 38 front 42 rear. I could not get the front tires to fit without a 7mm spacer in the front due to S model Caliper rubbing. This offset is supposed to fit no problem from what my shop was told. This is the beginning of my new problem.

I get vibration that I can't deal with and a weird rubbing sound in which I cannot visually see is coming from. Calipers are fine, fender lining is fine, it isn't rubbing the suspension. I get this sort of plastic on plastic rubbing/grinding type sound at low speeds that goes from slight to clearly noticeable and I can swear I feel it in the accelerator pedal at times. So, the suggestion was to swap spacers for Hub Centric type spacer to get rid of the vibrations and whatever noise I am hearing or so I really hope corrects. I wanna kick the rear tires out alittle more aswell with 7mm spacer in the rear to give it the proper stance.

I will post more shots this weekend.

Any suggestions to correct my issues will be greatly appreciated. This is my first set of wheels on a new car. Even though they look amazing on the car I hope it doesn't become to much more of a headache then its really worth. Kinda lost the excitement of having new wheels .

I have a G37S. The tires CV1 have to have as I was told 255/35/20 and 285/30/20 with no rubbing at all. I dont remember the offsets of my head. But for the G37, these are direct fit to the G, no spacers or all that stuff needed. I dont know if it b/c you have the convertible or what. What tire sizes you have on?

Marcelo I am not sure off the top of my head but I believe that is whats on there. I don't see any rubbing on the inside of the fender lining at all. There is plenty of clearance and space for travel.

Hummm so weird. Why spacers? Do these wheels come with different size offsets? Maybe they gave you the wrong one? This guy mounted the front wheel and it cleared the caliper, no spacers. He was showing me the wheel to see how it would look.

I just spoke to the Vossens rep in Florida. They make 2 offsets sizes for the front one is 20 the other is 38. You have the wrong offset for the front! ! ! ! You need the offset to be 20 front and 42 back which you have is right? What place is this you went to call? They should know better if they gave you the wrong offset number. How much you payed for the wheels/tires (what kind you have)? ?

I am confused, offset needs to be 20 or 38? THe shop said the rep told them 38 if I am not mistaken.

I sent a PM to a rep at vossen aswell before I got the wheels and was told that 38 is the perfect offset for front.

i'm not an expert on the drop top but 38/42 offsets should fit fine on S coupes or sedans. You might be getting vibration from the spacers, you might need a hub ring for the rims

if you decide to get rid of them i'll buy them lol i'm local

Okay spoke to rep, whoever picked up the 38 offset is having some fitment issues on the G Coupe. The rep said the hubcentric spacer will correct any issues I am having with the generic spacer.

The shop is not to blame as that was the recommend offset.

I would definately love to join you guys

Lol, hopefully my fitment will get corrected today otherwise they are coming off the car.. just so happens I got 1 of a series of 5 wheels that had a change from they're original design which means I may have to wait a awhile to get a updated wheel at that 38 offset.

I have to say the guys over at Vossen, reseller, and shop are really going out of there way to fix this. JUst alittle bit of a hassle going back and forth. Keep you guys updated.
