Are you powder coating black? Looking forward to seeing the results!

What is the process for powder coating - do they remove the factory finish, or simply rough sand it? I assume you need to remount/balance all wheels afterwards, right?

Thanks.

Yes, going with gloss black.
They sandblast them, the powdercoat and bake them. Yeah it removes all the finish off with the sandblasting.
Yes, they have to be rebalanced after that. I have a mobile service coming out to my friends house to take them off, leave my car on jack stands in his garage, take the tires off the wheels, then I will take the rims in.
When they are done, I'll drop the wheels and tires back off to them, they will mount and rebalance, and go install them on my car again.

I'm curious to see how they look powder coated since I'm not too fond of the sport wheels look.

I was going to do the same thing, but was reluctant to waste the money since I didn't care for the wheels to start. I'm really curious to see how they come out. What color is your car and what color are you powder coating them?
