Spacer fix

Question about the copper crush ring ...does it HAVE TO be 10g or can it be let's say 12 or 8?

Agree. If you got it centered enough to be smooth, I would not fix it. But it is cheap to buy 3 feet of #10 3-conductor copper wire at Home Depot or the like to have handy if you ever want to try.

And #10 is the perfect size.

All you do:

1) Pull off the wheel and pull out the hubcentric ring.
2) Wrap the copper around the hubcentric ring to shape it.
3) Cut the copper so it has about a 1" gap from making a whole circle.
4) Now slide the copper ring into the space that the hubcentric spacer goes. Just squeeze the copper ring a little to get it to fit into the space, that is the reason you leave the gap in step #3. The copper ring does not have to be a 100% complete circle.
5) Now put the huncentric ring back in. You will notice that it now sticks out just a little more than it did originally.
6) Reinstall the wheel.

Awesome man, thanks for the explanation. I went to Lowes and Home Depot and neither had 10g, only 4,6,8,12. I ll do some more searching. Thanks again

No I meant about 1". SInce you wrap it around the outside of the hubcentric spacere to shape it, it is too large. So you have to squeeze it down just a bit and you do not want the crush ring to overlap. And it does not have to be as perfect as 1mm since all you are doing is holding the hubcentric spacer out further to help center the wheel when you mount it up.
