Tirerack G37S Sedan with 245-45-18 up front and 275-40-18 in the rear

In reference to my original thread:
https://www.myg37.com/forums/wheels-...rack-help.html

Does anyone here know if you can use 245-45-18 in the front and 275-40-18 in the rear on a G37S Sedan without rubbing or causing any issues???
Looking at the tire diameters they are extremely close to the stock Sport sizes and I think I would prefer to stay with a staggered-set-up.

Thanks.

I think I have my answer. The rear tires I've been looking at in a size of 275-40-18 require wheels with a width of 9"-11". The stock wheel width are 8.5".

Oh well.

I'll be needing tires soon and will have the same problem. Not a lot of choices in our sizes, or if you can find them they only last a year or so and are expensive.

Unfortunately for a staggered set-up with the stock wheels no. But you can always use a square set-up and run 245-45-18 all around. Or you buy new 19" wheels, or you can buy wider 18' wheels which will let you mount the 275-40-18 in rear since they require a wheel width of 9"-11" Our stock rear wheels are 8.5".

I have too many other expenses right now including a son starting college next year so new wheels are not an option. At this point I'm leaning towards keeping my stock sizes and trying the Yokohama's ADVAN Sport.
