The wheels are 18x8 and I do agree I wasn't that happy with the size and how meaty the tires look I should have went bigger. The tires look thicker than on the stock wheels for some reason. If I did get new tires what size should I get so they don't look so meaty? I'll also lower it this summer.

I wouldnt change the tire size unless you are going to 19s or 20s. Your speedo will be off.
As far as springs, what springs are you planning on going with?

I don't think anyone makes springs for the X yet. Some members here contacted Eibach to prototype a set of springs for the X, but they need a test car for fitment. I don't know what's going on with that right now. Coilovers might fit, but not sure.

Many guys are using the Eibach Prokit on the X's and has had 0 problem so far.
Btw not really feelin the rims. Better than stock I guess. Hopefully you have something better planned in the near future.

I think the wheels look great. Some of us live in pothole country, so we have to make do with our environments. I'm going to use the stockers for snow tires next year and I'm in between getting 19's or nothing if they don't start fixing these 6" deep potholes.

Those look pretty good! But all that matters is that you like them! After all, it's your car!
Did you get the tire pressure monitoring system sensors put on the new wheels?
By speedo, he means that the car's spedometer is set to read a certain diameter of wheel/tire... when you change that, the speedometer could be reading a little faster or slower than you are actually going. It's no big deal really.

You really need the meatier tires here in the Chi. If we lived out in FL or CA, sure, you'd love to have some really low profile tires etc... but that just won't work out here.
