Need good tires that aren't so expensive g37s 6mt

Got the word straight from the guy at Discount Tire the other night when he was showing me replacement tires. I think he said the sale starts Thursday and runs thru Saturday. Sounds like it covers anything you buy.

Yeah...I just ruled those out due to the poor ratings their predecessor (AVID W4) got. The newer version can't be that much better.
I'm still debating what to get since I'm limited with the specific size for the 37S sedan wheels. I'd love to try the Hankooks, but the dealer says it doesn't have a size for the front. My next choice might be the 960 to get better mileage, but I'm not sure...just don't want to be swapping tires every year or so.

Tire tread and tire construct is almost identical to the Mich PS2 but half cost!
I'm actually going to ask my tire guy if he'd take my OEM Potenzas with 8K as
trad in on these Kooks...

Please remember that your tires are the ONLY part of the car that touches the ground. When you downgrade tires, you downgrade handling and braking, potentially compromising safety.

I used to have Hankook V12
I got following size for 2008 G37 S
I wanted to get bigger size tires so I went with following sizes
Front: 245-35-19
Rear: 275-30-19
The only major problem with Hankook V12 is you can not use the entire thread of the tires. When you hit 40% or lower. I recommend changing to new tires. So even if they seem cheaper, they won't last as long. And when you hit 40% or lower it is almost G's on ice. Unless you intend to drive like my Grandma, get OEM tires.
And If you are looking to use your tires more than a year, V12 is definitely not a good choice.

OP I have a set of 4 vredstein ultrac sessentas sized 255/35/20 for sale they have about 5k miles and are basically brand new. Since you probably want stagger setup I can sell you a set of two for cheap so you only need to pay full price for the rears... let me know!
thanks
and of course if you wanted all 4 and not doing stagger I can package them even cheaper

Car design and construction is almost identical, but for 60% of the cost... (Hyundai Genesis coupe).

Its good to do your research and get the facts...
This Hankook actually was reviewed by R&T and was the Best for breaking!
In fact, it came in at #2 amongst many great tires in this class.

What about the Yokohama AVID ENVigor? They come in the same sizes as the stock Bridgestones, have UTQG ratings of 560 A A, and are all-season. They are cheaper than the Bridgestones, but all-seasons won't have the same grip of summer-only tires. They are new, so there isn't much (any) information out there yet. I only got 21k miles from the original Bridgestones so I'll trade a little grip for longer tread life. I just ordered a set yesterday to be installed this Saturday.
