G37 stock tires prone to slip under hard acceleration

I've noticed that the stock Turanza ER33 225/55/17 tires are prone to slip under hard acceleration either from a stop or at high speeds. Sometime I can both feel it and see the "slip" blinking on the gauge cluster, and sometimes I see the "slip" blinking but cannot feel it. I wonder if it's really due to the stock tires. My questions are

(1) Would the problem be minimized if I swith to better performance tires?

(2) Would it be even more minimized if I size up to 245 tires and rims?

Thank you in advance for your inputs.

Stickier tires will cause them to slip less.

Potenzas are pretty good tires if you can afford to replace them every 12-15k miles, those 225/55/17 Turanzas aren't nearly as good, plus the 225 width is too narrow for the rear drive. Go w/ a good 245 width and you"ll be able to drive your G like it was meant to be driven. At least you don't have the crappiest of the crap stock treads~ AKA Goodyear RS-As, now those are TEH SUCK, lol.

you have the non sport correct? w/ the 17 inch non-potenza tires? the one w/o the limited slip.

well it's probably you... lol driving the car a little too hard ha ha

upgrading the tires will help a little bit. the pole positions are pretty good.
