FWIW, I tried to search but it was a tough one to come up with the correct terms for

Right. I think for the non-sport it's 17x7.5 and 18x7.5 for the sport package. Makes it a little harder to find a set of 4 fronts or rears. The look is awesome though!

I'm looking at getting a set of the 19s for my g37 x sedan. Not knowing much about wheels, would the fitment be easier if I went with 4 fronts (19x8.5) as opposed to 4 rears (19x9)??

Considering the X comes with wheels that are 7.5 in wide I would stay closer to the 19 x 8.5 just to isure your clear everything. Check out the wheel calculator to see how different wheel and tire configurations would look with the sedan. It takes into consideration suspension, speedometer readings etc.

New and full of curiosity...
I have an 09 G37 sedan and just had the 19" sport rims off an M35 put on. The dealer told me too that they wouldn't fit so I grabbed some 5mm spacers. They fit good with no rubbing but vibrate to all hell at 75mph. Taking them off this week to see how they fit. Anyone know the cost to install H&R sport springs in the Phoenix area?

G35 S on stock suspension with G37 19s.
Also, does anyone know if you can run 245/40/19 all around??? those are alot cheaper than upgrading the rears to the 275/35s
P.S. not my car BTW.... although working on some G37s right now..... let me know if anyone wants to sell thiers
