Question replacing tires on G37S 08 1st time

Hi,

so finally my car reached 20,000 miles yeah I don't use it much, so the dealer is saying to replace the OEM at 20k, I live in Portland, OR so it rains a lot and most of my driving is up to Seattle and back, I was looking at Hankook tires but I seriously have no idea what i'm doing, a little help would be great.

Thanks in advance

You want all weather tires? Might wanna look into some Bridgestone Potenza RE960A/S Pole Position. Those are some awesome all season performance tires.

If you want slightly cheaper tires, RE760 Sport is also a great choice.

thanks for the suggestion
so I looked at the RE960A/S Pole Position but it doesn't come in the same size, the OEM comes as 225/45/19 92W Front & 245/40/19 94W Rear.

the closest i found of the RE960A/S are 225/40/19 89W front & 245/35/19 93W rear, is it really that big of difference in size? i guess it would less comfortable?

It seems like RE760 Sport comes in your sizes.

Do not see any all season options in the oem 19's. Only two we have are the oem 050's and the 760. Of the two, the 760 is the more popular. Longer lasting, quieter, good wet/dry, etc.

Did the dealer say you had to replace because you hit 20k or that your tires are worn and NEED to be replaced?

If they aren't worn don't worry about it. My original tires lasted 30k miles before they NEEDED to be replaced.

Those sizes are slightly thinner, sidewall wise. Personally, I wouldn't do it unless you're dropped, really low.

I am curious to see how well the RE760 will hold up on a G37 with the 19" OEM rims. I am not liking the replacement cost of the OEM Potenza RE050A ($287 each on Tire Rack).

I've got it down to 2 tires:

RE760 ($206 / rear tire) -- W-rated, treadwear 340 A A
Nitto INVO ($209 / rear tire) -- Z-rated, treadwear 260 A A

I would like to have matching tires, front and back ... I'm sure the OEM front tires will last a lot longer than the rears ... all the torque from the VQ makes shredding the rears way too easy ...

I Have put on OEM and Bridgestone potenza sport but finally for the third set have gone for the much better tread wear of the General tire on tire rack (American version of Continentals). Very pleased so far with this choice.

I've been very happy w/ my Toyos, for an all season they've been great all around tires, and much better grip than the high treadwear rating would lead you to believe.
They have these in the stock oem 19 sizes for the coupe too! Andrew over there gives even better prices if you mention myG37.com

Would you say they're quiet and comfortable? I'm looking for a tire that has those characteristics, i don't mind giving up a little bit of performance to get that.
