The stock Journey wheels are the same size front and rear; only the Sport wheels are staggered sizes. Even the you can still rotate left to right since the OEM Bridgestones are bidirectional.

i don't get it...doesn't the TPMS tell you which specific tire is flat? if you rotate the wheels....then wouldn't the dash tell u the wrong wheel?? i thought the sensors always had to stay on the same side, left right front and back?!?! or does it just say that a wheel is low but doesn't indicate which one?

I thought (based on some other posts in a different thread) that TPMS just reports you have a low tire, it's up to you to figure out which one.

Now you’ve done it. The anti-TPMS crowd will now respond with the usual:

I visually check my tires weekly/daily/hourly and can spot any problem.
You can always “feel” when a tire gets low.
I’ve been driving for thirty years without TPMS and never needed it.

No they're not. The OEM RE050A's are directional. You can't rotate if you have the S awesomeness.

Not quite. The OEM Bridgestone Potenzas aren't directional, they are asymmetrical. They don't need to rotate in a specific direction, hence no direction arrow on the sidewall. This means they CAN be moved from side to side.

Being asymmetrical means the tread pattern is different on the inner and outer half of the tread. They must be mounted on the wheels with the correct orientation (indicated by "inside" and "outside" on the sidewalls). As long as the tires are mounted correctly on the wheel, they can roll in either direction, meaning they can be swapped from side to side.

Not completely useless but pretty damn close. Even $15K econo cars can let you see pressures on all 4 corners in real time so as to see how youre tires pressures change as they heat up or cool and which tire is over or underinflated. Not on our $40K+ grand touring cars though.

Infiniti dropped the ball on this feature big time IMO. I guess they needed to leave it off the G37 so people have a reason to buy the Altima and 370Z (which have full functionality).

Upon further research, you are correct. I got them confused with the regular RE050s, which are directional.

No shame, it happens. The "A" at the end is for Asymmetrical to distinguish them from the regular RE050 which is directional like you said.
