I couldn't quite find the answer I'm looking for by searching.

I want to upgrade my factory stock 18" wheels with aftermarket 20"s (prob Vossen 082) with the stock suspension but am concerned about the increase causing rubbing or any other adverse effects. How do 20's look on a stock suspension? Also, what tire size would I need? I know some of you peeps have done this, help me out.

On a stock suspension not only will you not have any rubbing, you can take your G off roading on the weekends. I would highly recommend a drop of some kind.

The perfect drop without being slammed is eibach in front and tanabe in the rear. Rubbing depends on your offsets. Right offset=no rub.

Had Vossen 084's with eibach front and rear... No rub at all, dips, speed bumps.. Nothing.

Where ever you live and how bad the roads are will determine what kind of drop you should put. You should be fine with 20", with the right offset you can still tuck the wheels and not rub. I will be putting 20" and slamming on h&r.

Share more information as to why "eibach in front and tanabe in the rear" and also assuming Vossen 20s what is the right offset for no rubbing? Thx

Tanabe's leave it too high in the front and eibachs are too high in the rear. But with eibach f and tanabe rear it left a 1 finger gap all around. Never rubbed once with vossens. Perfect fitment and fairly flush with the fenders.

It is because tanabe drops the car 1" all the way around...

Eibach is 1.2 front and .8 rear..

Which is why some people use eibach front 1.2"drop (Clean up that ugly front gap) and tanabe rears for a 1" drop (rather than .8) a little more of an even drop..

+1 eibach front tanabe rear. but if you are not looking to buy both sets of springs at first definitely go with the eibachs because it gets rid of the front gap which is nasty.

245 30 20 fronts
285 35 20 rear

^^^most people run 245/35/20 front 285/30/20 these keep the tire as close as possible to the size of the stocks which keeps your speedometer and odometer exact
